Should You Really be Taking an Art Degree at University?

I am a person who has an incredibly artistic background and when I was 18 I was going through the stages of ‘should I be doing art at degree level?’. I am from the UK so I did my GCSE in art, A-level, BTEC and a Foundation Degree in art so I for one was more then qualified to go for an art degree in a university. So why did I choose not to go in the end?
